Q Wealth Partners are continuing their country wide expansion with the addition of SBW Wealth Management.
“While it most certainly will be one of many partner firms in Atlantic Canada, we couldn’t be prouder to have SBW as our introduction to the region,” stated Clive Cholerton, executive partner Q Wealth Partners. “SBW has been the gold standard for providing financial planning advice to their clients and have been outstanding contributors to their community.”
SBW serves a select group of families and businesses with complex financial needs by leveraging the talents of their experienced team. Long-time partners Roger Sinclair, former chair of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), and Andrew MacKinnon, both CFP’s, have recently added three experienced team members to support their growth and felt a need to revisit their business model.
When asked why the firm chose to partner with Q Wealth, Sinclair says, “When we began our due diligence process, we were originally looking for a platform that would provide us a more robust investment offering, but we quickly realized it wasn’t just an enhanced investment offering we were looking for. We wanted to partner with a firm who was forward thinking and bought in to elevating the client experience as well.”
Deborah Frame, currently a registered Q Wealth Partners Portfolio Manager, will also join the team to provide portfolio management services.
Added Jared Rabinowitz, founding executive partner Q Wealth Partners, “We see in SBW limitless growth potential due to their long-standing reputation in the area. As is the case with many quality firms, their focus was entirely on servicing their clients and not building infrastructure to manage growth. Our expertise of practice management and back-office support will turbo charge the growth engine of the firm.”
“Even in the initial conversations we’ve been having with our clients, they can see the expanded technology and communication tools available to them,” said MacKinnon. “The discovery process allows us to understand our clients in a more personal and intimate manner, while the aggregation tools provide us the numeric data points to ensure clients are staying on track with their goals. I can’t wait to introduce the ‘Q Life’ planning process to all of the firm’s clients.”
The SBW announcement kicks off what will be an incredibly busy fall for Q Wealth. “We anticipate adding a new partner firm each month for the foreseeable future” continued Cholerton. “We actually have just completed building our new transition application, ‘Q Move’, which digitizes the entire process of data migration to digital client signature to asset transfer – allowing us to keep up with this demand of firms leaving IIROC and MFDA and wanting to join the PM world.”
